About Us

Our story began when our founder Dr. Erica Atkins had a mouth surgery and was out of work for a month. During her time out of office she was lying in bed one day listening to the birds outside and God came to her and gave her a vision. In the vision she sees herself walking into her very own bookstore. She wasted no time following his direction for her life and opened a bookstore two months after on November 19,2021. With the help of friends and family, Erica created a thriving bookstore in Locust Grove Georgia and became the only black bookstore owner in Henry County Georgia. Her love for books and seeing people with a book in her hand drove her to expanding the store to a mobile bus and doing book fairs for all ages. Dr.Atkins was awarded the Micro-business of the year award by Henry County and was loved all over the state of Georgia, even traveling to other states for book fairs. At the peak of her success, Dr.Atkins sadly passed away March 4, 2023. After her passing at 40 years old her 21-year-old daughter stepped up and picked up where her mother left off.
